It is that time of year again. Time to reflect on the joys in our lives and to let those we love know we are thinking of them. Many of us will buy or create, address, stamp, and mail a stack of cards to friends and family. Since we seldom get to see many of the people on our mailing list, it is important to stay in touch over the Holidays.
Some folks will use this opportunity to include a note detailing the many of the family’s highlights for the year. This card from Shutterfly provides a wonderful template for a classy retelling: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/most-wonderful-story-christmas-5x7-folded-card.
Others will write a simple little blurb about each family member. Here’s a fantastic card from Shutterfly that can be customized to say a little about each person: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/our-ornaments-story-christmas-card-5x7-flat. This makes a unique card that provides room for a little more information than a basic card.
Still others, like me, prefer a family photo and an elegant, peaceful sentiment. I am still deciding what card I’ll choose for this year, but I do like the Vintage frame card seen here: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/cards-stationery/vintage-frame-holiday-card-5x7-flat. It reminds me of the mirror story in the post below and I have always been drawn to vintage designs. If I use this card, I’ll also be using the thank you notes that go with them: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery/christmas-cards/framed-with-joy-holiday-thank-you-3x5-folded-card.
Whatever card type you choose, I’m sure the recipient will be thrilled. There is something to be said for a mailbox full of Christmas cards. Receiving a Holiday card tells you someone was thinking of you… specifically – what a great feeling! May your mailbox be full.
